Chhattisgarh to have 1032 MU surplus power in 2015-16: CEA

India starts work on green power corridors
Faced with an ambitious green energy target of 175,000 megawatts (MW) by 2022, India has started work to set up transmission corridors to supply green power across the national grid. Utilities asked to procure additional power - Telangana
In view of the increasing power demand in the ensuing Kharif season, Telangana State Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Monday instructed the power utilities to procure additional power to meet the domestic, industrial and agricultural needs. Rel Power, Hindalco under scanner, SC to probe coal PIL
Supreme Court has accepted the coal public interest litigation (PIL) against Reliance Power and Hindalco . The Kerala State Electricity Board will clear the pendency of applications for power connections by August 15 on clearing litigations and the hurdles raised by the Forest Department, Power Minister Aryadan Mohammed has said.
